'Hambre del alma' (Hunger of the soul) is a groovy, extravert song, going from Mexican folklore to a Cuban montuno. The Frisian lyrics from Nynke are about feeling an immense desire for someone, in terms of wanting to eat and drink someone's body... tengo hambre, mi amor! The intro is a Spanish poem of Alfonsina Storni. The music was made by Ward Veenstra and developed together with Joël Groenewold, Sytze Pruiksma and Nynke. The single is not available anymore, but it has been added to the album De Maisfrou as a bonus track.
