Singer Nynke Laverman interviews a number of people who inspire her in the context of her new album and performance OAK. She does this together with radio and podcast maker Lex Bohlmeijer. From October 17, a new episode will be released every month that belongs to a track from the album OAK. Guests include writer David Van Reybrouck, anthropologist Jitske Kramer and singer/songwriter Stef Bos.
"Stories help to open your heart," says writer and cultural historian David Van Reybrouck. In conversation with Nynke and Lex, he discusses the contradiction we have created between the world and the earth, humanity and the planet. How do we get closer to Earth? Do we need a new story, a new language? He finds comfort in the song 'Dat it der al is' that Nynke releases together with this podcast: "I find it hard to see the state of the world everyday, but at the same time I realize that everything I fight for and try to commit myself to, is already there."
